TTS reads questions aloud (George — warm British male; Alice — clear professional female) and voice input transcribes your spoken answers back into the textbox. Set voice in Settings; speed (0.75× to 1.5×) is in Advanced session options. Both are Pro features.

Voices and TTS

In Practice, you can have questions read aloud (text-to-speech, or TTS) and answer back via voice. Both are Pro features.

Two voices are available:

George — warm, captivating British male. Measured and considered, like a wise mentor telling a story.
Alice — clear, professional female. Articulate and encouraging, like an experienced educator. Approachable, never stiff.

Pick a voice in Settings → Voice preference. You can also adjust speed (0.75× to 1.5×). Slower speeds sound more deliberate; faster ones can be useful for quick-fire practice. The speed slider lives under Advanced options on the New Interview Session screen.

For your answers, voice input uses your browser's microphone. You'll be prompted for permission the first time. The transcript appears in the answer textbox after you stop recording — you can edit it before submitting if anything was misheard.

Most browsers handle this well, but some corporate environments block microphone access. If voice isn't working, check your browser's site permissions for the app's domain.
