During a mock interview
The session is one question at a time. You see the question, optionally hear it read aloud (if TTS is on), and answer.
Two ways to answer:
- Type in the textbox.
- Voice — click the mic, speak, click again to stop. The transcript appears in the textbox. You can edit it before submitting if the speech-to-text mangled a word.
Buttons available:
- Hint (Practice mode only) — a one-line tip on what makes a strong answer to this question.
- Reveal model answer (Practice mode only) — shows a STAR-structured example. Read it after you've drafted your own — peeking first defeats the purpose.
- Reset answer (Live mode) — wipes your current answer if you want to retake the question fresh.
- Submit — locks in your answer and moves on.
In Live mode, there's a timer per question. The timer is informational — it doesn't lock you out. But practising under realistic time pressure is the point.
If you save the recording, both the audio and a transcript are stored against the session and you can play them back from the results page.
