Credits and top-ups
Interview Champion charges AI features in credits rather than minutes or messages. This means you always pay only for what you use.
How they work
You have two balances:
- Monthly credits — granted on the 1st of each calendar month (UTC). Resets to your plan's monthly amount; unused credits don't carry over.
- Top-up credits — bought as one-off packs (Members only). Never expire. Used after your monthly credits are exhausted.
Both balances are visible on the Account page at /account.
Monthly amounts
- Free — 30 credits / month.
- Member — 300 credits / month (£4.99/mo or £49/yr, 7-day trial).
What each action costs
Most AI actions are 1–3 credits. Voice and interviewer voice are charged by usage:
- Help chat message: 1 credit
- STAR grade, mock answer scoring: 2 credits
- Job analysis, CV grading, feedback summary: 3 credits
- Voice transcription: 5 credits per minute (rounded up)
- Interviewer voice (TTS): 1 credit per 1,000 characters
If you don't have enough credits for an action, you'll see a "Top up to continue" prompt.
Top-up packs
Available to Members only. The recurring Member subscription covers our infrastructure costs; top-ups are pure pay-as-you-go on top.

Top-up credits never expire — buy a big pack once and use it across many months if you'd rather not stack purchases.
Cancelling a Member subscription
Open the Stripe billing portal from your Account page. You'll keep Member benefits (including the right to top up) until the end of the current billing period.
